BSP chief Mayawati has categorically said that her party would not support Narendra Modi. The BSP supremo clearly indicated that she is in no mood to support a BJP-led government at the Centre.

At a press conference, Mayawati, while refereing to a television interview by the Gujarat CM, said Modi was saying he will seek support of Jayalalithaa, Mayawati and Mamata Banerjee in case the BJP does not get a majority in the Lok Sabha.

She went on to say that the BSP would not support Modi and that she is not aware of what the others would do.

The BSP leader accused BJP's prime ministerial candidate of "reaching out to them" with an eye on  Muslim voters. This proves that the BJP was doing badly and there is no such thing like "Modi wave" in India, added Mayawati.

Mayawati even accused the saffron party of "trying to finish the BSP movement" in 2003. However, she had rescued the BSP at that time, she further added.

Mayawati also recalled that the BJP had filed a case against her in the past and started a CBI investigation.

According to opinion polls, the BJP is expected to win the maximum number of seats. However, the party will fall short of a majority to form government at the centre.

From the onset of the 2014 general elections Jayalalithaa, Mamata Banerjee and Mayawati - three women regional powerhouses – are being seen as possible allies to the BJP in case the party need the numbers to form government in delhi.

While all three of them have allied with the BJP in the past, this time these women political leaders have attacked Modi during election campaigning.
