The first meeting of Arab foreign ministers and the Indian external affairs minister has been held on Sunday, January 24, at Manama, the capital city of Bahrain. The ministers criticized the attacks on the Saudi missions and general consulate in the Iran, during the meeting.

According to the ministers, the attacks“resulted in incursions in the consular and diplomatic premises, that causing serious damage,” and asserted that the Iranian authorities “bear full responsibility for not protecting the diplomatic premises as stipulated by the 1963 Vienna Convention on Consular Relations and the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and.”

The ministers, those were presented during the Manama meeting, said that, they highlighted the significance that, “ the cooperative relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Arab States would be based on, non-interference in internal affairs, the principles of good neighborliness, sovereignty and territorial integrity, respect of independence,  resolution of disputes through peaceful means.”

The Indians and Arab ministers  “ described their support to all peaceful efforts, including Lesser Tunb and Abu Mousa with Iran through bilateral negotiations, the efforts of the United Arab Emirates, to reach a peaceful solution to the issue of the Islands of Greater Tunb, and in accordance with international law.”
