With the soaring mercury in last few days, the death toll has risen nearly to 500 in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.
As per the data received on Sunday, the officials claimed more than 200 deaths have been reported both in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
In Odisha, authorities have received reports of 24 causalities till Sunday.
The meteorological department on Sunday has issued a “severe heat wave” warning for 10 districts of Telangana for the next three days.
The maximum temperature was recorded at Khammam in Telangana at 48 degree Celsius on Sunday. While Allahabad was the second hottest at 47.7 C,
Nandigram district at Andhra Pradesh and Odisha’s Angul district tipped the scales at 47⁰C 46.7⁰C respectively.
