Olympic bronze medallist Saina Nehwal has entered the women's singles quarterfinals of the All England Championship by defeating American Beiwen Zhang in three games.
In the second round of the contest Saina defeated Zhang within an hour 24-22, 18-21, 21-19 on Thursday night.
The seventh seed badminton player is the lone survivor in the championship from India.
During the quarterfinal match Saina will play against fourth seed Chinese Wang Shixian. In her second round match, Shixian had defeated Ireland's Chloe Magee 21-15, 21-12.
