Hyderabad techie Tests Positive for COVID-19, quarantined in Gandhi Hospital

The deadly coronavirus paved its way to the capital city of Telangana as a 24 year old techie has been tested positive for the coronavirus and has been quarantined in the Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad.

The patient who has been infected with the deadly COVID- 19 has been identified as an employee of a software company in Bengaluru.

The officials have suspected that the virus has been contacted while working along with few colleagues who were hailing from Hong Kong and Dubai. It has been said that at least 80 people who have come in close contact with the patient who has been quarantined in the Gandhi Hospital will be undergoing tests to find out if they have contracted the virus from being in close contact with the patient.

Among the people who will be undergoing the tests for the identification of being affected by the coronavirus, out of the 80 people, 27 are the passengers who have travelled along with him in the bus from Bengaluru to Hyderabad and the 20 are the medical staff at the Apollo hospital, Secunderabad, who have treated the patient for fever and the remaining members for undergoing the tests are the members of the joint family.

E Rajender who is the health minister of Telangana has said that the government of Karnataka may request the airlines to screen the passengers who were in the flight along with the individual who has been tested positive for the deadly coronavirus  which has travelled in from Dubai on the 19th-20th of the month of February.

It has been recorded that the patient has travelled to Dubai on the 17th of February on an official assignment and that he has been suffering from fever while he has returned to Bengaluru on the 20th of February. He has attended the office for a couple of days and has reached Hyderabad which is his parents place on the 22nd of February and has complained of fever for which he has visited Apollo Hospital where he has began getting treated for fever.

The doctors has suspected of testing him on the 1st of March as he was not getting relieved from the symptoms being fever and cough. They had collected his samples and got them tested at Gandhi hospital.

The health minister of Telangana has said that the confirmation of the tests being positive of the deadly coronavirus has been done in the afternoon of March 2nd and the information has been shared with the government of India.

The health minister Rajender has also said that all the 80 people who have come in contact with the patient have been advised to undergo the tests.
