According to the regional weather office, from Nov 30 to Dec 1st, due to the depression in Bay of Bengal, there could be more rains in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

Deputy Director General of Meteorology, Chennai, S Balachandran, told reporters that “A low pressure area is likely to form over southeast Bay of Bengal during the next 48 hours. It is very likely to intensify into a depression on November 30 and move towards the Tamil Nadu coast,”

As a result, there will be widespread rains in Tamil Nadu and neighbouring Puducherry from December 1-3, he said.

For the next two days, there is a forecast that there would be a moderate rainfall in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

There was a 23cm rainfall in the last 24 hours in the Northwestern districts in Tamil Nadu.

After the severe cyclonic storm ‘Nivar’ made landfall between Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, more rains are expected.

Due to rain-related incidents like wall and tree collapse, unfortunately, three people were killed in Tamil Nadu.
