1,26,789 fresh cases for coronavirus reported in India

A total number of 1,26,789 new cases for coronavirus are reported in the country in the last 24 hours and the second wave reached the peaks in India. 685 people passed away in the last 24 hours in India and the total death count reached 1,66,862. 59,258 people got discharged in the last 24 hours in the country as per the reports from the Union Health Ministry. The total number of cases in the country reached 1,29,28,574 and the total number of people who recovered from coronavirus reached 1,18,51,393. There are 9,10,319 active cases for coronavirus in the country which are climbing on a fast note. The total number of people who took up the vaccination for coronavirus are said to be 9,01,98,673. The vaccination drive in Maharashtra came to a halt after there is a shortage of the vaccines. The process resumes once the doses are provided by the Centre.

The government of Madhya Pradesh announced night lockdown during the weekend to control the cases. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken the second dose of coronavirus and he will meet the Chief Ministers through a virtual conference to discuss about the developments and the second wave of coronavirus. As per the reports coming from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the total samples tested in the country till yesterday are said to be 25,26,77,379 and the samples tested yesterday are said to be 12,37,781. Maharashtra Health Minister Raj says that Gujarat is half of the population of Maharashtra but the state is given 1 crore vaccinations till now.
