Kamala Harris dials to Narendra Modi on the vaccination drive

India is now the most impacted country on the globe due to the second wave of coronavirus. The country is in a huge crisis for vaccinations and the drive is happening at a slow pace because of the shortage of vaccines. Several countries like the USA, UK and Russia sent doses of vaccines to meet the expectations and the Indian government wanted the vaccine makers to produce more and more in the coming weeks. Kamala Harris, the Vice President of the United States of America dialed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inform sending about lakhs of doses of coronavirus vaccine for India. Kamala Harris spoke to Modi along with Mexico President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, Guatemala President Alejandro Giammattei.

Kamal Harris made it clear that the Biden-Harris administration is keen to send 25 million doses of vaccines to India in these tough times. They are keen to send 80 million doses of the vaccine to several countries by the end of June. They are responding on a swift note as they wanted to curb the coronavirus from all the countries. Narendra Modi thanked Kamala Harris and he agreed to continue working together in the future. The USA is also sending vaccine doses to several countries around. The country-wise allocations of vaccination doses from the USA will not be made public.
