Several names of the celebrities, IPL teams, ex-Chief of Military names along with a cricket superstar are named in Pandora Papers which is called as the biggest ever leak. 12 million documents from 14 companies in offshore tax with 29,000 companies and Trusts were out by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) couple of years ago. The news created a sensation across the nation and the Indian government directed a multi-agency probe in the incident. The Central Board of Direct Taxes, Reserve Bank of India, Enforcement Directorate and Financial Intelligence Unit are asked to investigate the matter of the Pandora Papers. As per the speculation, 300 Indian names have been surfaced about the offshore holdings.

The names of Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, steel baron LN Mittal's younger brother Pramod Mittal are named in the list. Pramod Mittal faced bankruptcy in UK but his total assets are under 150,000 UK Pounds. But he owned huge assets in various countries. Two Supreme Court judges who will head the Special Investigation Team (SIT) about black money said that the action will be taken as per the investigation. Narendra Modi's government formed a special SIT in 2014 and they have submitted seven reports to the Supreme Court. Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan said there would be a probe on all the citizens whose names surfaced in the Pandora Papers. The Indian government took things seriously about the Pandora Papers.
