Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is keen to bring back the lost glory of the party and launched Bharat Jodo Yatra today. The yatra started in Kanyakumari today and Rahul Gandhi will cover 3500 km across the country in 150 days. The tour started in Kanyakumari and it would end in Kashmir. He paid a visit to his father Rajiv Gandhi’s Memorial in Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu where his father was killed in a suicide attack. “I lost my father to the politics of hate and division. I will not lose my beloved country to it too. Love will conquer hate. Hope will defeat fear. Together, we will overcome” tweeted Rahul Gandhi after he paid his respects for Rajiv Gandhi. He said that Bharat Jodo Yatra is a tapasya for him to unite the country. Rahul Gandhi aims to make an impact in the 2024 polls across the country and he staged Bharat Jodo Yatra. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is with Rahul Gandhi in Kanyakumari for the launch.

The supporters and leaders of Congress attended in large amounts for the launch. Rahul Gandhi will attend the Mahatma Gandhi Mandapam this evening and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin will hand over the national flag for Rahul Gandhi for his yatra. Bharat Jodo Yatra is the longest march of the country till date and it will be launched this evening at 5 PM. Rahul Gandhi will walk throughout the yatra taking small breaks. Rahul Gandhi will walk from 7 AM to 6:30 PM on a regular basis and he will cover 12 states and two union territories in 150 days. All the Congress Presidents of these states would participate in the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Rahul Gandhi will meet the leaders and supporters of Congress along with the common people.
