This year, the race for the top awards intensifies as mainstream actors battle it out among themselves for the big prize.

One such tussle this year will be for the best comedian award with biggies like Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Vidya Balan and Ranbir Kapoor - all vying for the 'funniest' award.

While on one hand we have tough contenders like Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone nominated for their hillarious gag in 'Chennai Express', on the other hand we have Akshay Humar (Boss), Vidya Balan (Ghanchakkar) and Ranbir Kapoor (Besharam) contending for the award.

With the Bollywood brigade going big on comedy, it would be interesting to see who walks away with the laurels at the end of all the award ceremonies lined up for early next year.
