Coronavirus Indian tally crosses 1.5 Crore mark

The second wave of coronavirus in the country reached new heights. The virus is all over and the country reported more than 2 lakhs cases for the fifth day in a row in India. The new cases of coronavirus reported in India in the last 24 hours are said to be 2,73,810. 1619 people passed away in the last 24 hours taking the Indian total death tally to 1,78,769. The total number of active cases for coronavirus in India reached 19,29,329. The total Indian tally of cases in the country reached 1,50,61,919 and the number of recoveries stands at 1,29,53,821. Goa, Delhi, Kerala, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and Gujarat are declared as the sensitive states by Maharashtra and the passengers are asked to carry RT-PCR negative test report and will have to stay in home quarantine for 15 days.

Several states in the country are in plans to introduce new rules and restrictions soon. Maharashtra, Delhi and Karnataka continued to report a high number of cases for coronavirus. s per the reports from the Indian Council of Medical Research, the total number of samples tested in the country in the last 24 hours are 13,56,133 and the total samples tested till date are 26,78,94,549. With the sudden rise in the number of cases, there is a huge scarcity for beds and oxygen cylinders. Maharashtra reported 68,631 new cases and Delhi had 25,462 cases while Karnataka reported 19,067 new cases of coronavirus. Bengaluru alone reported 12,793 cases of coronavirus. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair a meeting for coronavirus today along with the health officials.
