Bollywood Superstar Aamir Khan, who is much popular for his subject oriented movies and TV shows, has received a notice from an activist for using the emblem of the country for his “Satyamev Jayate” show, allegedly without prior permission from the government.
The activist Manoranjan Roy has demanded the producers of the programme to show a copy of government permit. Producers Aamir and Kiran Rao (Producers) are recipients of the notice alongside with the director Satyajit Bhatkal (show director).
In the letter sent by advocate Manoj Singh on behalf of his client Manoranjan Roy, they have mentioned “Satyamev Jayate” is a part of the State Emblem, which cannot be used without permission as per the State Emblem of India (Prohibition of Improper Use) Act 2009. It also mentioned that the contains of the emblem should not be used for commercial, advertisement or any monetary purposes.
We have to wait and see whether the Mr. Perfect star has forgotten the important precaution or taken every step before hand. The program has created awareness on various subjects like female foeticide, girl child education, malnourishment and other important areas.
