Arjun Kapoor is all set to play the role of Lakhan in Karan Johar's upcoming film 'Ram-Lakhan'. The actor has been reportedly finalised for the remake of the 1989 hit ‘Ram-Lakhan’.
Rohit Shetty will be directing the project.
The 'Finding Fanny' actor has been roped in to play the iconic role of Lakhan in Karan Johar remake of 'Ram Lakhan'.
Although the filmmakers have not made anything official, but Arjun has been finalized for the role.
The original 'Ram Lakhan' had Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor in the title role. Ever since reports were out that Karan Johar has bought the remake rights of 'Ram Lakhan' media has been speculating as to who will play the roles of Ram and Lakhan.
Rumours suggested that Bollywood hearthrob Ranbir Kapoor may play Lakhan. Then there were rumours that actors Siddharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan and Ranveer Singh were being considered for the iconic role played by Anil Kapoor in the original film.
Apparently KJo is also keen to bring Varun Dhawan on board the project. However, the role for Ram is yet to be cast.
Arjun Kapoor made his Bollywood debut with ‘Ishaqzaade’ in 2012. The 29-year old actor has n films like '2 States', ‘Gunday’ and 'Aurangzeb' to his credit. His upcoming film 'Finding Fanny' will release on September 12.
