Sushant Singh Rajput’s “Dil Bechara” to Release on July 24 via Disney+Hotstar

Late Actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film “Dil Bechara” is all set to for its premiere on July 24 through an OTT platform Disney+Hotstar. The movie will be the directorial debut for Mukesh Chhabra.

Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14 and the country is still mourning over his loss. While his final postmortem report has confirmed his suicide, his fans are demanding CBI enquiry on his death. They can’t justify his suicide and claim that it was a murder.

Amid this chaos, the actor’s last film ’Dil Bechara’ is about to release on the streaming giant Hotstar. The bollywood film fraternity and Sushant’s fans are early waiting for the film to be released to see him act for one last time.

Disney’s Hotstar took to twitter to announce the news and in the second tweet they revealed that the movie will be available on their platform for both subscribers and non-subscribers too.

Sushant’s co-actor from Kai Po Che, Raj Kumar Rao unveiled the poster on his twitter handle with a red heart.


Minutes after the official announcement, the movie’s director Mukesh Chhabra shared a heartfelt note on twitter remembering the beloved actor.

He expressed his love for him saying,”Sushant was not just a good actor but also was a dear friend”. Sushant has promised to the director that he would be acting in his directorial debut.

“I didn’t imagine I would be releasing the film without him”, Mukesh said.


Dil Bechara is Sanjana Sanghi’s first movie. She will be seen opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in a lead role in the film.

The film was supposed to be released on May 8 this year. However, due to the covid-19 pandemic, it is postponed.

Dil Bechara is the re-make of the 2014 Hollywood film ‘The Fault in Our Stars’ which is based on a popular novel by John Green.

While AR.Rehman composed the music to Dil Bechara, Amitabh Bhattacharya has penned the lyrics. Sushant plays the role of Manny who embarks on a journey of life and love with Kizie Basu (Sanjana Sanghi). The movie is a mix of fun, thrill, adventure, love, and tragedy.

In an interview with a media house on Thursday, Sushant’s father K.K.Singh said that he planned to get his son married this year but due to a film project in line Sushant said he would marry in February or March next year. Sushant’s father expressed his grief to the media person saying, “This is the last conversation I had with my son”
