Morena Baccarin will join the cast of animated horror film 'Malevolent'. The indie thriller has Ray Wise and Bill Moseley in lead roles.

Jason Axinn is directing the horror thriller, which is currently under production.

Homeland star Morena Baccarin has joined animated horror thriller Malevolent, which also stars Ray Wise and Bill Moseley.

Story of this animated indie revolves around a young woman (played by Dani Lennon). She must save herself and her siblings by defeating her powerful, evil father.

Baccarin will play the role of Gamemaster, who is an otherworldly entity. Her character traps helpless humans into diabolical conflicts while others from her species gamble on the outcome.

Wise will play Cyrus, the rich dying industrialist, who has an evil plan in mind for his family, whom he gathers ostensibly to discuss his estate.

Moseley will lend his voice to Cyrus’ twisted henchman, who thinks he is still charming inspite of surviving a terrible and disfiguring accident.

Jim Cirile and Tanya C. Klein have written the script for this film, which is being produced by Paige Barnett and Cindi Rice.

The filmmakers have plans to release the film in early 2015.
