Separate bomb threat emails were sent to both the Delhi High Court and Bombay High Court on Friday, leading to evacuations in these areas. Subsequently, the Delhi Police released a statement indicating that the bomb threat at the Delhi High Court was a false alarm, as searches revealed nothing suspicious. New Delhi DCP Devesh Kumar Mahla informed the media, "According to our procedures, bomb detection units and a dog squad are on site. We have checked and found it to be a false alarm so far." Sources also indicated that the bomb threat received by the Bombay High Court was deemed a false alarm, although an official confirmation was still pending. The threat letter aimed at the Delhi High Court claimed that three bombs were placed in the judge's office and other spots within the premises, insisting that evacuations should be completed by 2 PM. It also mentioned “connections with Pakistan’s ISI cells” and warned that “the judge’s chamber would explode shortly after the noon Islamic prayers.”

During the evacuations, one lawyer shared with reporters, "The security staff instructed us to leave the court. All court activities have been paused." Another lawyer added, "There is an alarming email saying the sender is from ISIS. The details of the email are not clear. The police and bomb squad are on the scene." The evacuation of the Bombay High Court was also taking place due to the bomb threat email. A lawyer commented to the media shortly after, "The police advised us to exit due to a rumor of a bomb threat. They informed us this order came from the Chief Justice." Earlier in the week, several bomb threats were reported at the Delhi Chief Minister’s Secretariat, Maulana Azad Medical College, and University College of Medical Science in the capital, all of which were later found to be false alarms.

The police noted that the threats claimed RDX explosives, with a blast radius of one kilometer, had been placed at the three locations. After thorough examinations, the bomb threats were labeled as hoaxes. These occurrences follow a recent surge of false threat emails received by multiple schools and educational institutions, prompting increased alertness among security forces.
