The harsh rays of the sun affects not only your face and arms, but also your feet. We love to wear strappy sandals during the summer months but the scorching rays of the sun leaves your with tanned feet. With a little care you can remove feet tan at home, and keep them glowing and beautiful.
Lukewarm water dip
Dip your feet in a tub filled half with lukewarm water to which you can add Epsom salt (two tablespoons) of and a few drops of essential oils. Rose, lavender or lemon oil is preferable for the summer months. Soak your feet in the tub for 20 minutes. Use a pumice stone with a few drops of shampoo to scrub your feet. After this take fresh cold water in the tub and soak your feet in it for 10 minutes. Remove your feet from the tub and wipe it dry before applying any of these feet masks.
Lemon pack
Lemon is a natural tan remover end works wonders on your tanned feet. Make a pack using the juice of half a lemon, a few drops of rose water and besan (gram flour). Apply this paste on your feet and leave it for 30 minutes before washing it off.
Yoghurt pack
Yogurt is also a great tan remover. For this take yoghurt in a bowl and add few drops of rose water and mix well. Apply this pack on your feet and let it stay for an hour at least. Rinse with water and apply a soothing moisturiser.
Tomato pack
Tomato helps to remove tan and also acts as a bleaching agent. Take a tomato and grind it into a pulp. Apply this mask on your feet and keep it on for at least 15 to 20 minutes. Wash it off with water.
