Fruits are beneficial for our body. This is something that most people know. But many of us eat them at the wrong time. Eating fruits at the wrong time does more harm to the body than the benefits that accrue from them.
People eroneously believe that eating fruits right after lunch or dinner is a good habit. However, health experts opinion that including fresh fruits in your daily diet is no doubt healthy. But fruits should not be consumed right after a meal.
Nutritionist say that it is best to eat fruits in between meals to derieve maximum nutrition from them.
Fruits digest faster than other food products. So eating fruits right after lunch or dinner putrefy them as they combine with digestive juices of your body. This causes indigestion and bloating.
The ideal time to eat fruits is in between meals. This helps you to stay full and also avoid binge eating, says Dr Madhurima Sinha, nutritionist at Care Hospitals, Hyderabad, in India.
Next time you decide to eat a fruit make sure that it's not right after lunch or dinner. Eat right, stay healthy!
