Meeting a special someone for a date the first time? Excited! But apparently you're also nervous as you may not not get a second chance. Also you don't want to spoil it as the first impression matters when it comes to dating and relations. We have the perfect tips on what to avoid doing and you'll be fine.

Getting drunk
Toasting the occassion is not a bad idea for it makes the two of you more comfortable. But know your limits and stop much before you start vomiting or revealing all your secrets.

Wear inappropriate clothes
Wear something you feel confident in. You can dress like you do for office, but not a uniform. Stay away from T-shirts with offensive content as it may embarass your date. This rule applies to both men and women.

Talking about the Ex.
This is a total taboo. No talking of your Ex under any circumstance or about anyone you might have slept with. In case your Ex walks into the same date venue and chooses to sit next to you, it's ok to talk, but "do not acknowledge your Ex".

Interviewing the date
Folks, it's a date, so avoid asking questions like their career goals or factors that motivate them. Leave questions like that for the workplace appraisal meetings.

Eating food that stick to your teeth
Avoid food that has parsley as it sticks to your teeth and looks bad. Your date might not mention about it to you out of politeness but it makes a bad impression.

Appearing too keen
People who seem too interested in the first date are frowned and not considered genuine. Don't say things like, 'I feel we're right for each other'. Also stay away from talks of marriage, babies, etc.

Appear too aloof
There is a thin line between appearing aloof and staying cool, tread carefully. In case the question of a second date comes up handle it properly insted of saying, "Ok, if that is what you want".

Talking about sex
Avoid talking about sex in your first date as it might suggest the date that you had other lovers. It doesnt feel right unless the date is meant for sex only.

Expecting bill payment
Set an equal tone for the relationship by going Dutch on the bill. It works.

Bring a friend
Never, never do this. Chances are, your date may find your friend more appealing, as comparison are bound to happen.

Follow these golden rules and enter into a relationship with this special someone.
