When you start a relationship, however frivolous, it may become difficult to end the passing romance, especially if the other person gets serious. The easiest way is to go up to the person and say that you want to break up. But sometimes you don't want to hurt this person. Here are some other ways to end a fleeting romance.

Invade his social media

Stalk him/her on social media accounts - Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Google+. Your goal is simple – just freak the person out. Press the 'Like' button on every post, give comments like 'OMG I love this <3' post a plethora of emoticons on the person's social site. Also start adding his/her friends to your social media accounts. For better result create a YouTube video of your photos together with a background song. Then share this video and tag all his/her friends. This will definitely work.

Take over his/her laptop, phone, iPod

Take the person's favorite gadget and invade it. Delete all his/her favourite photos, songs and playlists. Then add your favourite tracks, which you know he/she'd finds annoying. Create new playlists with girly titles like 'Songs that make me think of you' or 'Our romantic songs'. This will make him/her furious.

Start a relationship blog

Create a blog on your relationship and fill in every detail. It would work better if you can use his/her real name. Write stupid love poems and notes. Then mail the url of your relationship blog to all his friends and yours if you want. The blog has to be your life till your purpose is achieved. So keep your phone, tablet, laptop close by when you are with the person and give live updates.

Stay busy always

Don't take out free time for the person, but make plans with your other friends. This will work for a relationship where both of you are busy individuals. Work late into the night, spend time with friends, co-workers or family but don't be available for him/her. The message is clear he/she should get the hint.

Flirt with others

Flirting with others may get tricky so be subtle. And if the person brings it up you can deny it outrightly saying you were 'just being friendly'. But be prepared for heated exchange as most he/she will not take it lying down.
