YU Televentures, a division of Indian handset maker Micromax, is back with a new value-for-money, budget smartphone, named Yu Yuphoria after its success in Yu Yureka. The name Yuphoria was crowd sourced. The lowest pricing at Rs 6,999 and the features provided will definitely make this product to be successful in the market.

Build and design
The highlight of the phone is its metal frame which has rounded corners with a smooth matte finish. The phone features 3.5 mm headset jack and micro-USB port. The phone has two micro SIM-card slots and a MicroSD card slot. There is a ring surrounding the camera lens in the back, which embeds the LED flash.
Display
It has a 5-inch HD IPS display (720x1280p). Yuphoria comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Software
YU Yuphoria runs Cyanogen OS 12, a custom aftermarket version of Android 5.0 Lollipop developed by Cyanogen and features an App Themer, Boxer powered Cyanogen Email and Truecaller dialer integration.
Camera
It has an 8MP rear camera (f2.2 aperture) with LED flash and a 5MP front camera (f2.0) with 86 degree wide angle lens. CyanogenMod Camera app offers granular settings for controls, including size, quality, shutter speed, focus duration, focus mode and ISO. The app also offers Panorama, Burst and HDR modes.
Performance
It is powered with a 64 bit 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core chip, Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB DDR3 RAM. The phone has 16GB internal storage, expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD card.
Review scores
It scored 14,762 in Quadrant Standard, 23,588 in AnTuTu, 1439 in Geekbench 3 (Multi-core) and 53.8 in NenaMark 2.
Conclusion
It is worth value for money. For the price of Rs 6999 Yuphoria is able to provide maximum features. These are the features what is required for a customer who is in search of a smartphone. The phone can be rated in the user point of view with 8.5 out of 10, which ensures customer satisfaction.
