Analysis

Kanam Movie Review, Rating, Story, Cast and Crew

Kanam has a beautiful plot and AL Vijay manages it to narrate it in a poetic style with top notch performers on board. The first half has been sensible, thrilling with many interesting episodes. The runtime is a huge plus but the film's theme will cater to a limited section of audience. On the whole, the first half looks decent and the audience will be left waiting to know about the major suspense.

The second half of Kanam too has limited appeal and is goes on a snail pace. It is the interesting climax that makes the film impressive. The film lacks interesting narration and it rarely has entertainment because of which the film gets rejected mostly.

Performance

Sai Pallavi is the major highlight of the film and she lives up the expectations in the film. She has been exceptional in the emotional episodes and is a treat to watch. Naga Shaurya has been decent and has limited scope to perform though he has a full length role assigned. Baby Veronica is a treat to watch and she over-performed in some of the episodes. All the other actors delivered out their best for the film.

Kanam has a decent plot but it will not appeal to a wider section of audience. The screenplay has been poetic and the dialogues look decent. The cinematography follows the film's mood and the music, background score have been thoroughly impressive. The production values have been decent and AL Vijay steps out with one more sensible film that will not cater to all the sections.

Final Word

Kanam is one film that has a never touched plot and a poetic narration. But the film lacks commercial ingredients because of which it will not rake massive money.
