Thailand halves visa on arrival fees for Indians and 18 nations!

Thailand halved the visa on arrival fees for tourists from India and 18 other nations to woo more tourists.
According to the new norms, the visa on arrival fees will now be 1000 baht (about Rs 2000). Earlier, on September 27, the visa fees was increased to baht 2,000.
Tourism is the key economic engine for the country. The country's economy relies heavily on foreign tourists.
The Tourism Ministry announced that, "The fees will be cut to Bt1,000." At present, Thailand offers visa on arrival for citizens of India, Bulgaria, Andorra, Bhutan, Cyprus, China, Ethiopia, Latvia, Kazakhstan, the Maldives, Lithuania, Malta, Romania, Mauritius, San Marino, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan and Ukraine.
