AI flight evacuated 119 Indians and 5 foreigners from the Quarantined Diamond Princess cruise ship

A special Air India flight that has been sent to the for evacuating the Indian nationals and also the citizens of other countries has landed in New Delhi on Thursday.
This special Air India flight is said to have carried 119 Indians and five nationals from Sri Lanka, Nepal, South Africa and Peru who were on board the cruise ship Diamond Princess which had been quarantined due to the coronavirus outbreak.
India has thanked the authorities of Japan for facilitating the evacuation of people.
S Jaishankar who is the External Affairs Minister of India has posted in his twitter handle where he has mentioned about the landing of the special Air India flight in New Delhi from Tokyo. He has thanked the authorities of Japan and also the Air India airlines.
The cruise ship Diamond Princess was quarantined off Japan on the 5th of February after the emergence of a former passenger of the cruise ship had been tested positive for the deadly coronavirus.
It has been noted that the cruise ship that had been quarantined had a total of 3,711 people on board which was comprised of 138 Indian nationals which included 132 crew and six passengers out of which sixteen people have been tested positive for the deadly coronavirus which is formerly named as COVID-19.
It has been said that the individuals who have been tested positive for the COVID-19 will be staying in Japan and would be undergoing treatment where as, the remaining would be repatriated to India.
The process of repatriation is said to be facilitated by the government of India.
Coronavirus has first observed in the Wuhan city of China on the 31st of December in the last year and it has spread rapidly to the other individuals and also across the other nations. It has been claiming the lives of several people and is infecting many more as the first case of death caused by this deadly coronavirus has been recorded in Philippines.
According to the records, coronavirus has spread over 37 countries and has infected more than 80,000 people and has claimed the lives of more than 2,600 in the past few months.
Earlier this month, the government of India has put in efforts for evacuating the Indian national from the Wuhan city of the Hubei Province and it has been successful as India has evacuated as many as 640 of its nationals from Wuhan.
