Second wave of coronavirus will last for 100 days in India

After a steep decline in the number of coronavirus, the situation returning back to an alarming state in India in the last two weeks. A total number of 53,476 new cases are reported in the last 24 hours in India and the total number of cases reached 1,17,87,534. A team of SBI research said that the second wave of coronavirus in the country would last for 100 days and it is counted from February 15th. Soumya Kanti Ghosh, the bank's chief economic adviser headed the team which conducted the survey. India can control the spread as the vaccination process is gaining pace. It is through vaccination, the battle can be fought or won told the report. As per the report from the Union Health Ministry, the caseload got increased for the 15th day in a row and the active cases are said to be 3,95,192.

The total number of people who got vaccinated in the country reached 5,31,45,709. The new cases in the second wave are expected to be more than 25 lakhs in the second wave. The report told that the second wave of coronavirus will reach the peaks in the mid of April and will see a decline slowly. Though experts said that the second wave would be more intense that the first wave of coronavirus, the presence of vaccine will sure make a difference told the report. Mass vaccination is the hope than lockdowns and restrictions. The report also told that the people should wear a mask and follow social distancing to battle against the deadly virus. Considering the density of population, the vaccination program per day should be much higher than the current daily number.
