The new fever of the Omricon variant of coronavirus is now gripping the globe and several cases of the variant are traced in several countries. It all started in South Africa and several countries are now kept on high alert. Experts say that the vaccine cannot protect the human body from the Omicron variant of coronavirus. Based on the preliminary analysis, experts say that the variant is 6 times more transmissible than the delta variant of coronavirus which was the reason for the second wave in India. The experts said that the Omicron can evade the immune system of the human body. Omicron is the second variant that may not respond to the monoclonal antibody treatment as per the analysis from the experts.

Two cases of the variant are already traced in India and there are several travel restrictions imposed in the country from international travelers. On the other side, a doctor from South Africa said that the variant of Omicron is not so severe and there are a lot of people who recovered completely without hospitalization. Angelique Coetzee, chair of the South African Medical Association told this. Angelique Coetzee told that 30 patients are tested for the variant and they recovered completely. She said that most of them are under 40 and are half vaccinated. They exhibited mild symptoms of coronavirus.
