Telangana Metro To Go For Huge Expansion

Telangana cabinet has taken some major decisions in their cabinet meeting on Monday. They have announced the merger of TSRTC employees into state government and also released Rs 500 Cr as rain relief. Cabinet also approved a huge expansion of roads toward Nagpur, Warangal, Mahbubnagar, Vijayawada and Bengaluru. The road transport project is scheduled to complete in the coming 3 to 4 years.

Not only this, the Telangana cabinet has approved a Rs 69,100 Cr expansion plan for Metro Rail Services. The Metro Rail line will be developed for more than 159km of Outer ring road area.

Metro rail connecting to LB Nagar to Peddamberpet, Uppal to ECIL X rods, Insapur to Miyapur, and Miyapur to Lakdi-Ka-pul would be taken up. In between Jubilee Bus Station and Tumkunta, the Telangana government is planning for a double-decker Metro service. Patny and Kandlakoya Metro line was also asked for a similar line.

Hyderabad Metro Authorities have submitted a detailed report in connection with routes and got approval for the expansion works. The metro rail will be expanded to Raidurg to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, which is 31km distance in total. That will make the metro length of Rs100 km approximately.
