At approximately 9:15 AM on January 10th, three coaches of the Chennai-Hyderabad Charminar Express derailed at the Hyderabad Deccan Railway station in Nampally. Reports indicate that six individuals sustained injuries as a result of the rail accident. These individuals are currently receiving medical treatment at the railway hospital. It is worth noting that the Hyderabad Deccan railway station serves as the final destination for this particular train.

According to Rakesh, CPRO of South Central Railway, the incident occurred due to the train overshooting its intended stopping point at the terminal station. As a result, three coaches, namely S2, S3, and S6, were derailed. Approximately five individuals who were positioned near the doors of the train suffered minor injuries. They are currently being attended to at the Railway Hospital.

Officials from South Central Railway have stated that the train was moving at a slow speed when it arrived at the station, which contributed to the overshooting and subsequent derailment of the three coaches. This sudden jolt led to six passengers sustaining injuries. The injured passengers are currently receiving treatment at a nearby hospital. It is important to note that the train had departed from Chennai on Tuesday evening and had successfully reached Hyderabad before this unfortunate incident occurred.

An official stated that an investigation will be conducted to determine the cause of the incident. On a specific date, two coaches of a passenger train heading to Bhopal derailed near Kota Junction. Additionally, on a different date, four coaches of the Ajmer-Sealdah Express derailed while being transferred to the maintenance yard at Ajmer Junction. Fortunately, there were no casualties in this derailment. In a previous occurrence, the Bandra Terminus-Jodhpur Suryanagari Express derailed in the Rajkiawas - Bomadra section of the Jodhpur Division of the North Western Railway. This incident impacted a total of 11 coaches.
