Bollywood's new-found queen, Kanagana Ranaut's's loss could soon turn to be a gain for the real-life princess, Kareena Kapoor Khan.

If the latest buzz is anything to go by, then Kareena would replace Kangana in director Sujoy Ghosh's “Durga Rani Singh.”

Just recently, it was reported that Kangana had turned down the role following which Sujoy lobbed the offer to Kareena . If you may recall, Kangana isn't the first actress to ditch the role. In the past, Vidya Balan had too opted out of the film for unknown reasons.Naturally, Kareena is in two minds about taking up the offer, we hear.

Meanwhile, an insider has confirmed that Kareena has agreed to play the role of cop Durga. The announcement will be made soon after she signs the dotted line.

We hope Kareena wouldn't ditch Sujoy, atleast!

Quite interestingly, Kangana Ranaut had replaced Kareena Kapoor in Tigmanshu Dhulia's 'Revolver Rani' for which the actress drew great critical acclaim. So is this destiny's own way of getting things even? We guess so.
