Ever since she lodged an FIR against ex-entrepreneur boyfriend Ness Wadia, Preity Zinta has been in headlines. First there were news on her filing molestation case against him followed by speculations over an out of court settlement.
Now we hear that Preity Zinta is looking for buyers to sell off her IPL stake. Apparently, the actress wants to do away with her 23 percent of her share of IPL and relocate to Los Angeles for good. However, an official confirmation is awaited on this.
Meanwhile, we can't help but wonder at Bollywood's cold, silent reaction on this. While many A-listers have decided to remain mum on the matter, the only B-town actress to have come out in the open supporting brave Zinta is none other than spy-in-the-making, Vidya Balan.
Lauding the fearlessness with which Preity spoke her mind, Vidya said: “I don’t know the exact context of the case, so what can I say? Preity has always stood up for her rights, and that is great.”
Unlike other actors, Vidya seems to approve of Preity’s decision to slap molestation charges on Wadia. She adds, “If she felt it was the right thing to do, then it is the right thing. But full marks to Preity for having the courage. Why should anyone keep quiet if they want to speak up about it, or if they want to go to the police?”
Not bad Vidya, we laud your courage too!
