Just three days in the theaters ank "Ek Villain" seems to have hit a jackpot.

The romantic-thriller starring Shraddha Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh has netted a whopping Rs 50.70 crore since Friday. Whoa!

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh reveals that 'Ek Villain's weekend collections stands at Friday Rs.16.72 crore, Saturday - Rs.16.54 crore and Sunday - Rs.17.44 crore. Total: Rs.50.70 crore nett.

Inspired by Korean flick “I Saw The Devil”, the movie has clocked the second highest opening in 2014, first being the Salman Khan starrer “Jai Ho”.

Directed by Mohit Suri, the film has won rave reviews from the critics and the audience alike and the huge three collection is a testimony to that. The film is also doing reportedly well overseas.

Mohit Suri's “Aashiqui 2” raked in Rs.100 crore last year, and was one among the successful movies of 2013. And “Ek Villain” just takes Mohit's success forward.

Taran Adarsh on Saturday tweeted, "EkVillain crosses *weekend biz* of #Holiday and #Humshakals in UK in 2 days [Fri+Sat]. Despite half screen count." (sic)

If this trend continues, then “Ek Villain” will become the next Rs.100-cr grosser by next weekend.
