The debate about the song ‘Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke’ from the Kannada film KD: The Devil, which stars Nora Fatehi and Sanjay Dutt, is getting stronger. After the lyric video became popular on social media, numerous internet users and celebrities criticized the song’s inappropriate words, dance routines, and hidden meanings. Now, actress and politician Kangana Ranaut has also expressed her strong disapproval of the song, arguing that Bollywood has gone too far with its growing trend of vulgarity and attention-seeking behavior. She emphasized the need for more stringent regulations, claiming that there should be tighter controls on how obscenity and suggestive themes are shown in movies and music. She pointed out that the content has become so inappropriate that it is now hard for families to enjoy watching television together. A video captures Kangana Ranaut’s response to the issues surrounding the song ‘Sarke Chunar. ’ She mentioned, “Bollywood has really gone beyond all limits with vulgar content, PR strategies, and craving attention. The whole nation is criticizing them, yet they seem to have no shame. This isn’t something new, as we have been hearing such songs since our childhood. However, there have been times when there were restrictions on this type of content, and I believe we need even stricter regulations now.”
She continued, “The way this kind of indecency is being shown is also harming our social culture, making it tough for families to sit together and watch TV. I believe we must impose some strict rules on Bollywood. ” Previously, singer Armaan Malik reacted to the song, stating that commercial songwriting has reached a new low. “This popped up on my timeline, and I had to play it again just to be sure I heard it correctly. It’s disheartening to see commercial songwriting sink so low.” In another tweet, he expressed, “I truly don’t know what to say. I wish I could unhear it.”
Set in a dance bar, the song from KD: The Devil features Nora Fatehi performing alongside many backup dancers. The trailer released last week showed her in a traditional outfit, dancing in front of a large crowd. After the complete lyrical video was released on Sunday, the focus shifted to the song’s words. The song received a lot of criticism online, with many users condemning its suggestive double meanings and inappropriate lyrics. Sung by Mangli, with lyrics by Raqeeb Alam and music by Arjun Janya, the song, which also includes Sanjay Dutt, faced considerable backlash.
