The massive celluloid success of "3 Idiots" and "2 States" has got novelist Chetan Bhagat contemplating on his third Bollywood venture, this time to be based on yet another of his bestsellers - "Revolution 2020."

Yes, the latest buzz doing rounds is that Chetan Bhagat is all set to start working on the screen adaptation of his novel, but unlike other times, he won't be writing the screenplay for the new flick.

"I'll be involved with this film too, but this time, I chose not to write the screenplay because I get too close to the content," says Chetan. Rajkumar Gupta with both direct and screenplay the film. The makers to freeze the lead cast in a month's time.

Meanwhile, grapevine insists that Alia Bhatt is one of the top contenders for the female lead. Alia's mind-blowing performance in “2 States” have garnered rave reviews and the makers are keen to repeat Alia magic in their next bestseller inspired flick.

"We're scouting for two actors and an actress since the story revolves around three young people. Chetan, admits that he's besotted by Alia Bhatt, who played his wife's role in 2 States. Can Alia play Aarti in Revolution 2020?

"Alia is a fabulous actress and after watching 2 States, I feel she can fit into the mould of any heroine I conceptualise. Yes, she'd be perfect to play Aarti but nothing has been decided as yet," says the novelist.

“Revolution 2020” is a love triangle that orbs around characters like Gopal, Aarti and Raghav and set against the milieu of Varanasi politics.
