Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Baby movie’ had an average opening of 9.3 crore in box office collection. This movie is 9th biggest opening day collection for his career.

‘Rowdy Rathore’ (Rs 15.10 crore), ‘Boss’ (Rs 14.5 crore) and Housefull 2 (Rs 14 crore) are top in the list, while in 2014, his two movies - ‘Holiday - A Soldier Is Never Off Duty’ and ‘Entertainment’ - also opened well at Rs 12.18 crore and Rs 11.57 crore respectively.

The director of the movie, Neeraj Pandey, who also directed Akshay Kumar’s Special 26 is receiving good applauds and notes from critics.

Film distributor Akshaye Rathi tweeted that ‘Baby’ has had a solid opening and the movie’s business will grow with a fantastic word of mouth.
