Online retail service firm FlipKart aiming for high business worth of $8 billion in this year. While the company's GMV is USD 4 billion. The company has announced their plan of doubling business at Town Hall in Bangalore on Wednesday.

The online major would plan to stand in higher position than that of Snapdeal and Amazon. And the long term goals of the company are shipping one billion units, and serving 100 million customers by 2018. Presently the service provider is shipping around 8 million units across India.

Indian people are now adapting to online shopping and services to save time and money. The company FlipKart which was founded in 2007 by Sachin Bansal, Binny Bansal and Amod Malaviya is now planning to enhance their service levels to compete with Amazon India and Snapdeal firms. Mukesh Bansal, who was founder member of Mynthra (a subsidiary of flipkart), was also present Town Hall meeting. 

Recently the online fame, has signed largest commercial real estate leasing deal with Embassy Office Parks, the joint venture of Embassy Group and Blackstone, for over 3 million sq. ft of office space in phases at Embassy TechVillage in City.

If the Bangalore based online major reaches its target, it will stand far ahead of Amazon and Snapdeal.
