Bengaluru-based electric vehicle startup Simple Energy has revealed the cost of its latest electric scooter, the Simple Ultra. This scooter is priced at Rs 2,34,999 (ex-showroom) and is now ready for sale, with deliveries already taking place throughout India. Marketed as a high-performance model for long distances, the Simple Ultra boasts an IDC-certified range of 400km, making it one of the electric scooters with the longest range currently offered in India. The model was first introduced earlier this year as a part of the company's second generation lineup, with bookings starting shortly afterward. At the core of the scooter is a 6.5kWh battery pack which allows for both a long range and impressive performance. The Ultra can achieve a maximum speed of 115kmph and can speed up from 0 to 40kmph in just 2.77 seconds, which places it among the fastest electric scooters in the country. It is also known as the second quickest option in the brand's collection, just behind the Simple One (5kWh variant).

Regarding its features, the scooter includes four levels of traction control and a seven-inch display for the rider, designed to improve safety and ease of use. Speaking about the product, Suhas Rajkumar, the company's Founder and CEO, stated that the Ultra has been designed to provide both exceptional performance and long-distance usability without any trade-offs. He further mentioned that as deliveries are currently happening, the company is concentrating on promoting "worry-free electric transportation" through its expanding retail presence. Simple Energy now has nearly 70 locations in major cities such as Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Chennai, with plans to grow even further into areas like Nagpur, Ranchi, and Bhubaneswar soon. The Ultra marks the fourth product rollout from the company in 2026, following the introduction of the updated Simple One Gen 2 and Simple OneS Gen 2 earlier this year, as the brand continues to enhance its influence in India's swiftly changing electric two-wheeler market.
