Now here is something to roar about! Hitmaker Katy Perry has been named the Elle Woman of the Year.

The 29-year-old singer cinched one of the main trophies at the Elle Style Awards on Tuesday night.

The award was presented by none other than Kylie Minogue who soon after took to Twitter to congratulate the raven-haired beauty.

She wrote: 'I presented the 1&only @katyperry with her @ELLEUK Woman of the Year award. Con-grats and con-kittens!!(sic)'

Katy, elegantly dressed in a silk ivory rose print Vivienne Westwood Prestige dress by Gold Label Capsule Collection sported an elegant wavy bob at the do. She also flaunted a rock on her ringer that fueled speculations on an impending wedding with beau John Mayer in days to come.
