The underwhelming response to Lady Gaga's most ambitious enterprise so far - ARTPOP - is leaving all eyes popped.
Interscope Records has already decided to pull off its $25 million promo campaign costs.
“ARTPOP” has managed to sell just 250,000 copies in it's first week, which is a 75 percent drop from the first week sales of her hit “Born This Way’ two years ago, that sold more than a million copies in its first week.

Miley Cyrus’ “Bangerz” recorded a first-week sales of 270,000 last month while Katy Perry’s “Prism” debuted with 286,000 first-week sales, neither registering a record-breaking success.
The low sales for Gaga’s latest together with the gargantuan promotional cost have forced Interscope to lay off its employees.
The soft sales of the album is expected to recover post Lady Gaga's guest hosting stint on “Saturday Night Live.”
But with her last failed tour, mixed reviews of “ARTPOP”, and ‘Applause,” ranked at No. 5 on the charts, the picture don't seem to well for Lady Gaga now.
