Whether it's proposing in a baseball stadium packed with 50 piece orchestra, a gala wedding in Florence, a lavish honeymoon and a plush multi-million dollars mansion, Kanye West loves going over-the-top when it comes to "wowing" his ladylove, Kim Kardashian.

And now, we hear that the rapper is all set to erect a cathedral for his reality star wife - a $5 million dollar extravaganza that will be as dramatic as Barcelona's famed La Sagrada Familia. Whoa!

"They want somewhere that weddings, baptisms and family funerals can take place for years to come," a source revealed. 'But Kanye being Kanye, it’s going to be ludicrously over the top!'

'Kanye has visited the church of La Sagrada Familia several times, and it takes his breath away every time,' the insider revealed. “He’s always wanted something similar for his own family."

The rapper is now hunting for the perfect spot to build his audacious and extravagant place of worship.

Quite expected, the church will be an homage to himself and Kim, with fancy stained glass windows depicting him, Kim, and their one-year-old daughter North.

'Kanye sees it as a monument to him and Kim that will become a major landmark,' the source declared. 'He says everyone will want to see it, like the Hollywood sign or the Empire State Building.'

The 37-year-old star planned to fork out a cool $5 million for the project with plans afoot to 'start an online appeal so fans can donate to the fund.'

The church will also pay tribute to Kanye's late mother Donda who was appaently 'deeply religious.'
