Late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs' biopic has reportedly been put on hold after Sony Pictures declined to produce the project.
Despite a script adapted by Academy Award-winning screenwriter Aaron Sorkin, the untitled project has experiencing glitches in finding an actor to play Jobs and a director
Even the film has struggled to cast a lead, with Leonardo DiCaprio and Christian Bale both circling for a time. Bale withdrew earlier this month, with Michael Fassbender the latest expressing interest in playing Jobs.
Meanwhile, original director David Fincher dropped out earlier this year and was seemingly replaced by "Slumdog Millionaire" director Danny Boyle.
Deadline reported that Universal is eyeing the project, which has Scott Rudin attached as producer.
