Actor Katie Holmes has been cast in holocaust drama 'Woman In Gold'. Holmes will join Helen Mirren and Ryan Reynolds in the upcoming film which is being described as a Jewish refugee drama.

The film also features Daniel Bruhl and Antje Traue.

Set in 1998, the story of the films revolves around a holocaust survivor, Maria Altmann. She sets upon the task of getting back some priceless artwork that belonged to her family and were stolen by the Nazis. In this task she ensues the help of her newly graduated lawyer grandson to sue the Swiss government. The film follows her character through four decades battling Austrian officials to get back the stolen artefacts of her family during second World War.

Reynolds will play the character of Altmann's grandson Randy Schoenberg. Holmes will play the role of his wife.

Simon Curtis will direct the film, which is scripted by Alexi Kaye and Alex Campbell, according to reports.
