Actor Jason Momoa is all set to play the role of Aquaman in Warner Bros. Superhero film Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. Momoa will join actors Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck in the superhero ensemble.

Henry Cavill will play the role of Clark Kent (who is Superman in movie), while Ben Affleck will portray the character of Bruce Wayne(who is Batman in the film).

Talks were on between Momoa and the filmmakers since December. The actor had been secretive about the negotions. He was reluctant to reveal his role in the film or whether he would appear in the film at all.

Apparently the entire project is being conducted in secrecy.

Israeli supermodel Gal Gadot, who will play the role of Diana Prince (Wonder Woman). The movie also features actors Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Holly Hunter will appear in a newly created role in Dawn of Justice. Meanwhile, actors Laurence Fishburne, Amy Adams and Diane Lane will be reprising their 'Man of Steel' roles.

Shooting has begun for Dawn of Justice, which is being directed by Zack Snyder.

Chris Terrio has written the script of Dawn of Justice, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. The project is being produced by Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder.

The movie is slated for release on May 6, 2016.
