Idris Elba is all set to appear in a new take on the story of King Arthur. Warner Bros. has reimagined the English myth of King Arthur and his knights. And Elba is in talks to appear in Guy Ritchie's 'Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur'.
Elba is in talks for the role of Bedivere, who was the right-hand man of Arthur's father. The story goes that Bedivere taught Arthur how to lead his army.
The role of Arthur is yet to be cast. However testing for the film will start in August.
Guy Ritchie will direct the reimagined story of King Arthur and his knights in the kingdom of Camelot.
Joby Harold has scripted the project. Lionel Wigram, Akiva Goldsman, Tory Tunnell and Harold are producing the film.
The film will reunite Elba and Ritchie, after the movie RocknRolla (2008), which was a crime movie thriller set in London.
Elba is credited for his role in BBC's well known Luther series. His other upcoming projects include giving voice to the character of Shere Khan in Disney's The Jungle Book. Besides Elba will star in Bastille Day, which is described to be a thriller.
