Zac Efron and Robert De Niro are likely to appear in upcoming film 'Dirty Grandpa'. Efron and De Niro are in talks with the film makers to star in the road trip comedy.

Although the negotions are in the early stage, but if it works then Efron will play the role of a young man who is tricked by his grandfather (De Niro) into driving him to Florida for spring break. The character of De Niro is a former Army general who believes his grandson has chosen the wrong woman for marriage.

Dan Mazer is directing the film, which will be packaged by QED. Barry Josephson is producing the project.

Zac Efron's recent films include comedies 'That Awkward Moment' and 'Neighbors'. His upcoming films include 'We Are Your Friends'.

De Niro's recently appeared in films 'Grudge Match' and 'American Hustle'. 'Hands of Stone' and 'The Intern' are his upcoming projects.
