Where do you expect to find a snake, a dead cow and Winnie the Pooh teddy bear. Not in a sewer for sure. Scottish Water has found all types of objects - living dead and inanimate - in the sewer system.
The objects in the Scottish sewer system have been blamed for the many blockages that the water company had to clear last year.
Now it has begun an awareness campaign telling people not to dump such objects in the sewer system. Last year Scottish Water had to spend a whopping £7million to clear the blocked sewers.
The utility provider has been informing people that the drain can carry only used water from baths sinks and showers and toilet waste like pee, poo and toilet paper.
Scottish Water found the following items in sewers
1. A dead cow that was fully grown, in Gatehead storm tanks.
2. A dead sheep
3. A live badger, found in Drongan pumping station well.
4. A frog
5. A boat's outboard motor
6. A scaffolding pole
7. A deckchair
8. A clothes iron that was functioning
9. A mattress
10. Hand truck /parcel trolley
11. Toy soldiers, watches, mobile phones and false teeth
