What do you do if a snake bites you? Bite it back? No. But an Indian man bit back a poisonous snake and survived to tell the tale.

The man named Rai Singh from Manendragarh in Koriya district, located in the state of Chattisgarh dared to bite back the deadly banded Krait snake after the snake bit him.

Singh was visiting some relatives in a village. At around 9 pm after dinner he went to a room allotted for him to sleep. When he was about to get into the bed he saw something resembling a stick near the bed. He moved forward to take the stick which was actually a banded Krait snake that bit his thumb.

Rai Singh says he was furious at being bitten by the snake and bit back the snake. The snake died after some time.

The man was first moved to the primary health centre at Kelhari village. Later he was shifted to Mahendragarh civil hospital for further treatment.

Rai Singh, who survived the snake bite, says he had hears somewhere that if a snake bites you then you should bite it back. That will neutralize the poison, added Singh.
