Nearly five to six tourist visa holders from Malaysia are deported to Hyderabad city every day who are identified as 'fake tourists' moving to Kuala Lumpur for employment without legal documents.
Various Visa racketeers in operation in Hyderabad and else cities in India are sending several unskilled workers to Malaysia in the name of employment on visit visa.
According to officials at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, at least 700 have been deported from Malaysia so far in 2018. These fake visa holders are caught during identification at Kuala Lumpur International Airport by immigration officials and are sent back. Apart from Karimnagar and Nizamabad districts in Telangana, people from Kadapa and Godavari districts in Andhra Pradesh and from other states like Uttar Pradesh and Bihar as well board aviation to Malaysia from Hyderabad.
According to Non-Resident Indian rights activist M Bheem Reddy, most of them work as construction laborers and masons.
"Most of the agents are operating out of Hyderabad and Chennai. Each person who wants a visit visa and air tickets have to pay Rs 1.5 lakh to the agent," said sources from RGIA. "Those who are already working in Malaysia are also turning into agents and trafficking workers."
They added saying, "Usually during questioning by immigration officials, those who travel for work on tourist visa fumble and can't answer. Some of them even pass the immigration and take up work in Malaysia capital city. But from past few months, every day at least five to six people are being deported."
"As tickets are cheaper from Hyderabad to Malaysia, people from North India also fly from Hyderabad," sources added.
In March 2018, approximately 10 Telugu workers were reclaimed from a mill in Malaysia. Nangi Devender Reddy, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee Gulf NRI convenor, said these workers are taken to Malaysia on tourist visa promising good wage, merely are put to hard labor. They are paid negligible wages subsequently deducting various charges.
He added that organized human trafficking racket is being operated from Hyderabad.
