A group of armed men brutally fired on passengers on a bus belonging to Al-Azhar Garden Colony, which is an Ismaili community housing project in Karachi.
Around eight attackers reportedly came on 3-4 bikes and started indiscriminate firing on the bus carrying around 60 passengers near Safoora Chowk area in Karachi.

In the incident, 40 people killed, according to the report of Dawn, and over 10 passengers wounded severely. After firing on the passengers of one particular community, the attackers fled from the scene.
