The fire accident in Kentex Manufacturing Corp. factory has claimed at least 72 lives as per the reports released by the officials of the Company and the government officials of Valenzuela city north of Manila, Philippines.

The fire which apparently took place through a welding work near the gate of the rubber slipper factory, swept through the factory. Amid trials to exhaust fire by pouring water and using fire stoppers, most of the workers were trapped in the second floor of the building victimized by thick smoke emerged from burning rubber and chemicals.
